Review: Skating Party @ Nathan Phillips Square - with Deko-ze
wanted to make it down a bit early to warm up cuz i haven't skated in 2 years. however, instead of doing that, i screwed up and went to harbourfront centre instead. idiot.
so i got up to NPS just in time for the zamboni to come out and clear the rink which gave me some time to put on my skates and catch up with mikey and intagible.
the first couple of laps were shaky but all in all i think i did ok. definitely had a lot of fun and this is how all skating parties should be like. it was also great meeting up with kotsy at the rink and then later on in the pub with mortyman and stilez. very random but it was good to see you guys.

Was a good time there for sure. Cold, but fun.
Randomly ran into Kotsy at the rink...and then you 3 at the pub. That was very random, not too mention running into Dallas Star who was there too.
Nice to meet Tara & Mikey...and was hoping you took some of your usual great photos of last night

bahhh Mikey was with someone else???!!!
It was a super fun night. To quote Alex "this is the way skating should be all the time"
Minus a couple trainwrecks Deko-ze impressed me. He was able to keep his Deko-ze sound while still sounding appealing to the masses. He was banging a way - I was waiting for his shirt to come off. Loved his feathery hat thing.
I hadnt skated in at least 8 years. When I took out my skates they were so covered in rust that I ended up renting. The skates were kind of shitty but I picked it up pretty fast. I didnt even fall
Nice catching up with Alex. LOVE THE PHOTOS. LOL AT MY HUGE MITTENS
And nice randomly running into and meeting mortyman and stilez at the pub.
I hope to do another skating party soon - I know next weekend is disco night at the rink

Skating was so much fun last night, Deko-Ze played a whole bunch of fun tracks ! I had a blast, and would definitely do it again.
Great seeing Alex, as always you took some amazing photos (i'll put mine up a bit later tonight).
Nice running into Kris and Sonny in the pub down the road, small world?

I thought, "Oh right, if I categorically eliminate all other people, it's just me and her. She'd like that.

"You are virtually the ring leader, the way I see it."
Then, I blew out the candle.

Nice to finally meet Alex and run into other TAs as well. Running into Sonny was so random but cool. I agree that Deko-ze's set was on par with his style but somehow played to the very diverse crowd as well. My pics don't compare to Alex's, but here's some anyways...
sounds like you guys had a blast!
nice pics Alex, as usual hehe

I had a good time last night. Too bad we got there so late that my gf and friends didn't want to pay $9 to rent skates for 1/2 hour. Was good to get back on my skates though, I thought it was a bit crowded for my liking as I like to skate fast and dig hard into the ice, but was fun to cruise around
Was nice to finally meet you (again) Tara lol. Alex and Mikey, too bad we didn't see when we walked in we coulda all had some drinks together. Maybe next time. Chris, cool seeing you there as well
