hi there, im on cubse studio 4.5.2, and i have just installed it on a new pc, then i installed my vst's however, when i look in plug in information they arent there, i have checked to make sure they are in program files/steinberg/vst plugins but still they are not available to me. please can someone help me on this ?
Hi man, unfortunately i have the same problem with Sidekick by twisted lemon, someone told me that the problem is in the plug-in ID;
so try to check in your VTS folder the instrument that cause the conflict: erase one by one all the plug-in (first of all make a folder back-up) and open, each time, Cubase to see if your instrument runs
yeh the files are in the vst plugins folder but when i open cubase they arent in the vst list in plugin information, but i think ive sorted it now, i created a new folder, put the vst files in it then added it to the vst plugin paths in cubase and the first one that i have tried it with now appears, so i will see if that works with the others. still dont understand why it doesnt work with them in the original vst plugins folder tho, very strange
I never use the c>program files>vstplugins default suggested folder.
Use the vst plugin folder in c>program files>steinberg>cubase4>vstplugins then add your plugin to specific folders, so synths go in synths, delays in delays etc you will find this easier to manage and much tidier on your machine too.
Also make sure cubase is scanning the correct folder
