Help needed with my Nord Lead 3

I have 2 question that i need help with

When i add an external instrument into logic and setup and input bus for the nord lead everything works fine. Only problem is its not very loud. But once i render/bounce the audio its as if logic has normalized the file. Is there a work around here because i tend to put the gain up very high on a compressor just to hear the synth?

Ive been to nonstop2k.com afew time and downloaded some midi files. And when i startup a synth and play the midi file everything is fine, but when i try change a perameter it jumps back to the original setting. This is because the Midi file has infomation on it such as velocity, program chance, pitch etc etc.
My question is; is there a way to dump that information such as program change, so that the midi file will have all different parameters so i dont have to keep saving the patch and remembering which one i used?

Thanks in advance

A lot of MIDI files do that, they switch the synth you're using to a different patch, or make it really quiet, or change other settings around.

I usually just create a new blank MIDI clip and copy the notes into it. That gets rid of all the other parameter change information.

But in terms of dumping all the parameters of the current NL3 patch to the current MIDI clip - I'm not sure that's possible. It'd be handy, but potentially you'd have to do that the long way - setting all the CC automation in the MIDI clip to where the current patch is, parameter by parameter.

Write the patch location on the name of the midi channel (NL 3 a123) is an easy way to recall patches.

Or you can use the channel's notepad to write down all the information, if you want to give your tracks more meaningful names.

I was doing that at one stage but i tend to modify the patches quite a bit so what i ended up doing was recording MIDI files with set perameters such as short decay, use it in my sequencer then on another midi file with a longer decay for a part a little bit later in the song. Only problem is i dont know how to set the MIDI file to keep recalling that same patch.

Oh and any info on the volume question. That's my main one, its driving me insane.

Not trying to be rude but do any of you guys that have replied have any experience with hardware synths???
