So in celebration of St Patty's day I took my g/f's friends out bar/club hopping last night.

Well one place that we went to, is kind of an "upscale" place per say. Its your basic top 40 night club that plays house/trance/mash ups etc. Anyways it was packed people everywhere and the dance floor was packed.

Then I saw it...some girl that was dancing kinda on the stage in front of the dj booth HAD FUCKING GLOWSTICKS AND WAS TRYING TO PUT ON A FUCKING LIGHTS SHOW!

I tried to take pictures, but it was too dark. She was giving light shows to the dudes that would walk up to her. Now this might be "ok" at an edm club because well, people will be druged up and it makes sense there. But at some random fucking club?

Has anyone else seen this shit? I mean is it only a matter of time until some asshole is glow sticking in a AFI vieo?

alcohol makes people do stupid shit too? noo wayyy....

haha this whole edm scene is expanding, i'm telling u!!

i had my electro house set at a hiphop club @ hollywood last weekend, i played about an hour or so, and during that hour i saw people started to play lightshows using L.E.D. lights! i mean i'm talking about an upscale hiphop club, 21+, just regular hiphop club..

like i said, this whole edm scene is expanding,.. these kids nowadays, whenever they hear dance music, they'd bust out whatever they can use to lightshow, even cellphone sometimes!

this is definitely something that we didn't see 2-3 years ago

Wasn't rolling, but i got a "light show" last week. Partly to show a nubile friend. So this kool korean dude was giving his friend one, so I said do me too. Based on last week, you dont have to be rolling to get some sort of effect from a lightshow, but you have to go into your peripheral vision a bit. Its interesting how the culture has changed from, cool they are getting a lightshow, to...what a loser hes getting a lightshow.

Well 10+ years ago when i was younger i was like "SICK A LIGHT SHOW"

Now being a bit older, its not that big of a deal. Its the norm at raves and underground parties, but its starting to creep into the mainstream. Kinda like Electro...
