ive also got krk rockit rp6 g2's for studio monitoring, and i really can't fault them. especially for the price. i think they would be great for dj monitoring too. are there any shops near you that you can try them out in? because i tried quite a few makes and models before settling with the krk's.

Yeah, I can go to my loca GC and try a few out. I know a few of the guys working on Pro Audio up there, so it shouldn't be a problem.
So far, based on the suggestions on this thread, i have it narrowed down to three options:
- Behringer Truth 2031A
- KRK Rokit RP6 G2
- JBL LSR2325
Pro's and Cons for each:
Behringer Truth 2031A
Pros: Good price, 8" woofer, bass ports in the front.
Cons: Never had any luck with Behringer. Concerned about the quality of the speakers.
KRK Rokit RP6 G2
Pros: Highly rated by owners, front bass port.
Cons: Smaller woofer than Truths, yellow cone (not really a con, its just dont like yellow).
JBL LSR2325
Pros: Rated well.
Cons: Rear firing bass port, small woofer.
Honestly, I think the JBL's are out just because they have the rear firing bass port and they have the smallest woofer of the three. These speakers are going up against a wall, so front firing is important.
Frankly, I'm leaning towards the Rokit RP6's. They seem to have good reviews and the features are nice. I honestly don't think I need anything bigger than a 6" woofer for this application.
Feel free to chime in if you have any other thoughts and thanks to the advice given by those who have already replied.
