...I need to find a good high quality futon but super cheap. One to use as a couch. I prefer a good Click Clack (aka Convertible Sofa) or one with a solid wood frame since it won't warp/break as easily as metal frame ones.
Anyone know of any places that sell them at liquidation (and mean it?). A good one can be pricey, but can aways find furniture super cheap at liquidation/ghetto discount places, but I don't want to go around from place to place blindly looking for Futons when a lot of furniture places don't really care them...
Anyhow, just seeing if anyone can recommend a place. The closer to Culver City the better....or at least a place that'll deliver to that area no problem.
Thanks all!

I am gonna stop by IKEA, but the last two couches I've boguht from Ikea have broken easily.
Problem with Ikea thease days is their prices on Furniture is twice what it was back in the early 2000s while the quality hasn't improved. Back then it was excellent quality for the price. Now that it's all big and popular out here they've jacked their prices over the years.

I'll take a simple little couch, too. Like the little ones you might see in a hotel room. No bigger than a love seat, and not a huge plush one (my new living room is pretty tiny)
I am just getting starter furniture for now. Not looking for furniture to use more than maybe a year or after I get a job job.
Anyhow, so if anyone knows of a cheap places that has those types of thigns, lemme know. Having no luck....so hoping someone knows a good hole in the wall place.

That's not the reason why. They have increased their environmental awareness and have been making efforts to clean up their act as much as possible, which raises operating costs. That, and obvious inflation. Their prices are still very competitive for the demographic of customer that shops there. Not my personal preference, but they are doing just fine.

Well, I just know that I've bought two couches from them and broke over basically nothing. Hell, one of them was sparingly used and broke.
Anyhow, found a hotel liquidation place. Just have to hope they deliver or can refer a company they work with that'll deliver cheap

Have you checked craigslist.com? I got my couches from a post on there...you pretty much have to go see it and exchange cash for the item there on site.

+1.
also pick up a LA Weekly tomorrow and check out the furniture ads...
dealing with craigslist for furniture is such as a hassle. and I don't have a truck or something on hand to just to pick it up
Hotel place had some _nice_ sleeper loveseats. Perfect condition. Most only $89. Too bad someone came in on April 4th and bought all the good couches for some reason so all they had was like one decent one and the rest were kinda crummy. Decided to pass.
thanks for your help all!

What about the Pennysaver or maybe pennysaver.com. I actually have a nice Futon in storage right now, but I think I'm gonna need it here pretty soon. Sry Dave.
