Hi lads,

Just thought I'd share what a lot of you are I'm sure already aware of.

But for those of you who have always been frustrated by tracks you've loved and wanted to download but have been hampered by some stupid territory restriction here is a nice how to guide when it comes to setting up a proxy and getting around that stupid restriction.

Hope this helps some of you out.

i find it odd that if you find a territory restricted track on beatport, and you check out another online store such as trakitdown.net, that has the same track on the same label, you are able to buy it there.

shouldnt it be territory restricted regardless on both sites?

But no it should work. I live in Dublin and our friends in the UK have some services that we can't use over here (BBC Iplayer for one).

Using a proxy allows us to use the program and pretend that we're in the UK. Works a treat.

It's to do with the licensing.

The only problem with this solution, and why I only use it when I'm at the office is sending your credit card or Paypal information over an unsecured proxy. You never know if your info can be intercepted because you don't know who set up the proxy server.

The reason I only do this from the office is because I use my company's proxy server in Poland, which I'm absolutely positive is a secure proxy.

Other than that, of course, it works like a charm
