We’ve been in Miami for just a few hours and already one of our WMC Track predictions has come true.
Jamie Jones ‘Summertime’ was just dropped at the Pornograph Welcome To Miami Party at the Chesterfield Hotel and even though there was only 50 or so people in the room, the vibe picked up considerably. Yep this is a bomb indeed.
The vocal feels timeless and when it comes over the speakers you instantly think that you might have heard it before.
It’s soulful, sexy and groovy tech house and Jamie Jones [a] could blow up big off the back of this record.
The vocals sound awful, totally killed the track. I've heard this song at a club with no vocals and it sounds 10x better.

The vocals were added much much later (original track debuted last WMC). Not sure what the reasoning was behind them, some people dig em some don't. I think they work but I prefer the dub.
The vocals were done by Ost & Kjex btw.

I think the vocals add so much character to the tune, without them it's just another tech house bandwagon track IMHO.
My dad listened to this randomly cause he thought it was good and he said the vocals were horrible.
