First of all , and just being curious , are the basses from VEC?

Secondly , the chord progression is good , the plucky sawtooths work very well!

However , I think the song lacks the 'uplifting' feel , maybe a side-chained pad will do.

I dont really the low-passed pad , sounds like some kind of brass to me. (I had a very bad experience with brass instruments..)

Other than that , everything is fine .. Just add a side-chained saw pad to get the uplifting feel. And the breakdown need 'violins' too ..

Hi 9vibes
The basses are from the virus TI.
I will try the sidechained pad, not sure i have any violin sounds though.
Thank you for the comments mate.

Hi Ralphie
The arrangment is one of the things i'm not keen on.
I think it would be better with a longer breakdown before the main part comes in, and maybe extend the main melody part a bit so that it comes in just once before the track ends.
Or do you think it sounds better with it how it is now and the main melody coming in twice?
My mate says it sounds like another track too, but he couldn't tell me which one.

hey sounds pretty good, nice job. personally i would like to see a dip in the harmony with the chords/progression on the first 8 bars, near the end, then let it stay where it is right now on the variation. also try playing with pitches on percussion, like your reverse crash, could definetly use some semitones upwards. keep it up, cool work. a little paul van dyky no?

msz.

Thanks for the comments mate, glad you liked it.
I will have a look at the progression and try to change it a bit.
And also have a go at the percs like you suggested.

I will post an update as soon as i have finished it.

Thank you.

the beginning is a bit dull (like every 13 in a dozen uplifting trance tracks it containes that typical 2003 trance bassline that makes me wanna vomit)

then the breakdown begins: wow I'm impressed, very emotional melody, shiver moments (pads remind me of the soundtrack of the movie: memento)! very inspirational man

climax after the breakdown is to weak (more percussion, stronger bassline, and I would consider a high note piano for this)

yep you got sum work in progrez, but I definatly like to hear this finished symphony

bon courage
