Anyone on TA go Geocaching?
Thought I'd asked this on here but didnt.
Anyone on TA go Geocaching?
Short version: Someone hides a lunchbox with a logbook in it in a forest and posts the GPS co-ordinates on the Internet. Then others get those co-ordinates and go looking. There are almost 800,000 worldwide now.
Long version: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geocaching

I've been doing it for two years now and love it. I've only found about 50, but then it isnt a huge sport in Ireland even though its taking off quite rapidly. I've been taken to some places where I wouldnt have been (or known about) otherwise - just today I was on a small island a few km from my house finding a lunchbox under a rock. The views of the bay were great and there was noone else about.
I've also gone up a col in France, found a cache near a fountain in the middle of nowhere in a valley, and found magnetic boxes stuck to bridges with hundreds of people walking by unawares.
I've placed five Geocaches now which together have been found about 200 times. Its interesting to read peoples logs of what they thought of it.
I've also sent various Travel Bugs and Geocoins travelling from cache to cache. Some of these have made it to Germany, another is near Prague.
Anyone else do this or interested in it?
