Your own dad? I was having this convo with melly yesterday and it seems it happens a lot more with european families. I'm not talking your dad beating ur mom and ur family for the hell of it I mean having to go toe to toe with your old man over a heated dispute? Anyone? Any good stories?

edit: Okay, short version.. I was 15 or 16, my parents had split and I was FORCED to live with my dad, and that bitch that is his new wife. He grabbed me by the neck, hard. I told him that if he ever lays a finger on me again I'll make him regret it. The next night he sort of bitch-slapped me over some trivial stuff, I punched him in the nose, and that was it. Didn't speak to him for years after that.
/lame (but I had to stand up for myself).

ish. My dad was being a dickhead to me as he was throughout most of my teenage years. He resented that I was closer to my grandparents than him but never gave a shit anyway. One day he said something to me, insulting someone and I vaderbombed him. Must've been like 13/14 at the time. He never came back for more

I agree, unless your father is a drunken, drug-addicted bastard who is acting like an asshole because of the alcohol or something, then I view it as acceptable. But if you hit your father in the face because he didn't buy you some new shoes or something silly, then your ass should be beaten for it. Just because your father is being a prick doesn't really give you the right to hit him.
