Wavelab help

I just tried Wavelab 4.0 yesterday. I had a voice sample that I used the VST Orange Vocoder on to make it sound really cool. When I was happy with it, I saved it, but when i listen to the wave file, there's no effect on it.
How can you save the file with fx on it? I guess I could always record it with total recorder or something, but there's gotta be an easier way
