Cubase 5 remains in process-tree after shutdown?
Hey everybody!
Sometimes when my Cubase 5 locks-up and I have to force-quit it, it remains in the process-tree, taking up valuable space in my working-memory. If the cubase-project uses 1500mb of my RAM, it still uses as much when Cubase has been closed. And the only way for me to remove it from the tree after wards is to restart the computer. My Cubase is fairly stable, so this doesn't happen too often, but when it does it's really frustrating. So, is there a simpler way to remove the Cubase-instance in the process-tree apart from pressing the "Close Process" -button (in the ctrl+alt+delete Process-Manager) which doesn't work and restarting the computer? (I run Windows XP)
Oh btw, my software is legit and I have the latest updates. If the problem remains I'll just contact the Steinberg support. But I thought someone here might have some suggestions first!
Thanks in advance!
/Dave
