this is not an example of darwinism at work. More of karma, if you believe in it.

ok so let me get this straight

Who thinks its Darwinism:
Trancealot

Who thinks it is not Darwinism
Omega_M
Nrg2Nfinit

Posters with non-relevant info
mute79
yukii
boris_the_bear

My conclusion is

#1 it is not karma. Karma would be robbing someone and then you get robbed by someone else. By calling cops lying to them is just not thinking right.

#2 is this is more like survival of the fittest(Darwinism) in a sense of not strength but knowledge. This is how these people manage to end up in jail or killed due to their incompetence weeding them out of society(Gene pool)

Reference: Wikipedia but this is not a true source learned that in college

you don't need to get robbed in order to pay for robbing. the price as in most societies, is going to jail. And that's where she's heading. So karma is working hard in this case.

Unless she dies in jail or gets a life sentence, neither of which seem likely, this cannot be Darwinism at work. Now what if she already has children ? This seems likely, given her age. What if she doesn't want children ? She has reproduced / or not (by choice, in which case going to jail is irrelevant) and she has survived. What's more, she doesn't even have to earn her food (needed for survival) in jail.

Besides, she may come out after say 10 years and go on to commit more robberies if she wishes. But she has paid the price for her previous robberies through karma.

wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
Karma: the effects of a person's actions that determine his destiny in his next incarnation

The woman action of calling the cops removes the karma out of the situation and adds in the survival of the fittest or maybe I should says natural selection!!!!!

good thing my boss is not here atm. Gives me time to rant and rave about this for now...

The final word or maybe not is...criminals who are this stupid will usual end up away from society i.e jail. So by this person giving them self up is a sure bet of how the strong/smart avoid this and weak/dumb don't. Take a trip to the Galapagos islands you'll see
