MJ and Black Folk

Shouldn't black people hate Michael Jackson because he obviously didn't wanna be black and tried running away from his identity? Wouldn't African Americans take that as an insult? I know I would if I was one. What's wrong with being black? Why did he have to become white? Fuck if I was black I wouldn't be mourning his death, or at least I wouldn't be upset about it. I know I know all these MJ threads are driving you mad but I think this issue needs to be clarified.

So despite MJ's clear attempt to not be a black man, why would any black person still have any respect for him whatsoever?

LOL, everyone thinks that MJ bleached his skin. Mainly because that's what the tabloids reported at the time. But he suffered from a severe case of a medical condition called vitiligo.

I might sound corny and shit, but it's really sad how pretty much everyone contributed to fucking up his mind. Imagine how you would feel as a black person suffering from vitiligo and having everyone you know point fingers at you, making jokes about you and saying you brought that shit upon yourself because you're ashamed of being black. Now imagine that on a worldwide scale.
