I haven't been up so much on that latest trance as its easy now days to get distracted by so many sub catagories of music and mixing of genres and experimentation, and I have found some great music that way so I am not knocking it but can anyone stear me to some recent stuff that harkens back to more of the essence of Trance as a music genre? True lovers of Trance pick up on things a casual listener would not and lately I find myself missing some of those simple things, just the epic nature of it and its ability to take such a simple set of words in some cases or a seemingly simple melody and take you down to a emotional moment and keep you feeling it for as long as possible. Maybe I am not using the best words but thats how it feels to me. The best Trance can take such a small beautiful moment in life and let you feel it as long as you want almost, or at least it feels that way sometimes. Are there any newer artists staying true to that?

the way i go about making tracks is to try to best convey a feeling without using so much, while keeping a groove and keeping interest with a catchy melody; though i dont know if thats within your definition of being 'back to the basics'....
