M.I.K.E. - Sunrise At Palamos 2009 (Gareth Emery remix)
here is the a new remix by Gareth Emery of the mike classic Sunrise At Palamos out soon on Garuda got to say i am realy likeing this alot fucking amazing good feeling to this track i am sure its gonna be massive
whats the point? it doesnt add anything compared to the original. only thing is the sidechained fart bass which i hate anyway. bad remix of an awesome original track which should be left alone.

It was a bit hard for me to be objective because M.I.K.E. is one of my favourite producers and I also like Gareth's sound. But it is definitely pointless and I don't like it. As mentioned it's now got some annoyingly unnecessary sidechain in it and he also seemed to strip all the energy out of the original. Boo from me.
yep pointless. I feel like big dj's feel too insecure or something to just bring back a classic for the season, or a couple months or whatever, so they feel they need to make some "rework/remix/update" to seem legit in the fast paced world of edm tunes. Too bad really.

He has remixed the tune into his own sound, personally i dont see anything wrong with that.
I'll admit I've heard worse re-makes, but alot of these producers need to realise that remixing an old trance with today's style is often times as bad (or worse) than creating a new track and blending in other trendy styles (like minimal, tech house, electro).
