For international flights departing the US there is no segregation required between domestic and international passengers.
All AA's flights at MIA go from concourses C, D and E which are connected within the airside portion of the airport. If the gate for your departing flight is announced onboard before your LGA-MIA lands check the departure monitors again in the terminal, gates can swap around at hubs.
Coming back you will need to clear immigration, collect bags, clear customs, place your bags on the transit belt and reclear security at MIA.
