Pink Floyd 'Gilmour era' intro track?

As stated in the title, reminds me of Pink Floyd, but can be taken from an EDM album as well. I heard it a few times before but just got stuck and can't find any association to follow.

I have heard this before too. I'll search through some old Floyd albums to see i I can find it. But I'm not really sure if this is Pink Floyd. Well it's gonna bug me till I find out though.

Hey if you like Floyd and EDM, you might wanna check out this track:

Thanks, I'm already familiar with that track.
I'm not totally sure if this is Pink Floyd. It was more of a guess after I got tired of trying to recollect the title .

Sorry to bring up such an old thread, but I found the song that little piece came from.

Not sure why but something made this little tiny bit of music pop into my head recently and I realized I was way off in thinking it was Floyd...

With this little musical piece repeating over and over again in my head, I finally recalled that it was from an old-skool Metallica song, looked around a bit on YouTube and indeed, it's the intro from "Damage, Inc."

Just wondering though why you only had the original little snippet of this song and not a full track? Was this sampled in some kind of EDM song or just something you had come across randomly?

Haha, you're incredible!

Metallica is indeed miles away from Pink Floyd, but actually not in my discography, as one of the Floyd live albums lies on the shelf just inches away from "Master of Puppets" by Metallica, the album "Damage, Inc." come from . Many thanks for your effort!

About the track itself: yes, I heard the short intro of this song in an EDM context. Last summer Matthew Dekay opened one of Polish festivals with this beatless piece from "Damage, Inc.".
