i like it how the shitty states just have 1 general area code.

The area code of a cell phone will tell you where the phone number was originally assigned to that person, but you can move and keep the same cell phone number, including the same area code, so it is not a guarantee of present location.

Also, that area code list is out dated. The US has been getting a lot of overlays recently. 714 has an overlay of 657. It has had this since Sept 2008.
