Anyone on these boards a Diabate fan? I know when little big planet (ps3 videogame) initially came out there was some discussion on these boards about the great eclectic collection of music in the game, including his music. Anyway, he recently released an awesome solo cd of him just playing the kora, an instrument from Mali akin to a harp.



Great cd with some beautiful chill/meditation/relaxing music on it.

Here is a video of Diabate talking about the kora, the cd, opened by what I think is the best song on the cd. For those interested, at 2:25ish mark, you seem him actually playing it, the sounds and melodies it produces are amazing since the instrument can do both bass and melody.
