[Progressive Trance House] Tobaddiction - From Cologne To Tel Aviv

Artist: Tobaddiction
Title: From Cologne To Tel Aviv (UNMASTERED)
Style: Progressive Trance House
Duration: 7:18 Min.
Software: Ableton Live 7, NI Absynth 4, Arturia Minimoog-V, some Samples
Infos:

Hi,

I am searching for some feedback for my new track. I've been worked a few weeks for it and I think it sounds quite ok now. The track should not be changed too much now 'cause i like it as it is, i just want to get some feedback, maybe some small tips or advices would be great. The track wil be mastered next week, so just take a look at the arrangement. It was important for me to have a significant mello which follows through the whole track, adding just a few elements like pads. It should be a chilled tune for smooth and calm moods.

I am looking forward for your reviews.

Cheers from Cologne

The bit at 4.25+ was the best, but basically it's like an ok imitation of deadmau 5, but no where near as original or vibey.
No memorable melody / vocals or anything.

Sorry mate I know you've put some work into this, but it's just an ok background piece with no memorable hook.

Also the drums etc don't have enough pump or vibe. Mastering wont fix that.

Keep working though

EDIT; - I've just reread your post and realised you say it's just a chilled out simple piece. Ok that's fair enough, but it does'nt have any stand out quality to it to give it a particular personaility. It's just an ok standard background.

Now I recently discovered a minimal pro by the name of Claude Vonstroke. Sure his stock in trade is simplicity, but the thing that makes his stuff stand out is the immense attention to detail of every sound so it is therefore different to most of the rest.

thx for the feedback.

it should not be a minimal track like one of claude vonstroke as you can hea. i just meant the instrumental and melodies shoul be minimalistic, sorry for my english i do not really know to explain it. your english differs from the one we learn in german schools here...

the drums should not have to much vibe, because it should be no real "trance"-track. so for me they are ok.

but you are right, i have to work on the sound. i like the melody as it is, but i agree that the first minutes happens not that much... so i have to work ^^

btw, not every sidechained synth which goes with the kick ist a "deadmau5-copy" i think, my aim was not to copy this guy!!!

so thx for your feedback mate.

heh, i think it sounds pretty good. a little muddy to me, needs to be a more crisp. if you're going for Prog House you should slow down the BPM to 128. Drums are kinda boring. i got the deadmau5 vibe too but thats a good thing. love that guy.
