The track itself is pretty chilling, but I think it lacks anything memorable to be quite honest. Quite a nice melody though.

The pads gives a 'cocktail' feel to the overall track , which brings a summer vibe to me.
Was the piano acoustic , or what did you use?
The way the breakdown progresses is very smooth , without any room of boredom or emptiness.
I don't like the buildup. I thought it was rather weak. Perhaps you might wanna try spamming reverb/high-pass filter on the buildup. |
Thanks for your words ice cold water..
I used the synth Nexus to create the piano sound... Im glad you have mentioned the pads, as thats exactly what i was going for, and ive kept them subtle so there not to over the top, but when they shine through there pretty nice and brings a separate feel to the track...
I will be working on the breakdown, as thats something i feel does need some improvement, more reverb and high pass filtering would sort that out your right, will get back to you on the finished piece.
Again, thanks for your feedback, enjoyed reading what your views where

First let me just say that I like this track indeed.
I found this to be very interesting with a lot of potential (melodically speaking). You have really good structure establish already with nice break, instruments sound and well constructed transitions. It has a lot of elements I really like exp. 0:41 (nice groove rhythm), 1:24 before firs break, 2:47 (lovely pad sound) and 3:17 (has beautiful sound). Well done so far my friend, it is a really solid start, just to spice up your main melody, try to add some FX (or maybe nice sounding arp) and you have really beautiful sounding song for yourself.
Cheers. |
Hello mate
I was hoping you may show up with some feedback! i like to read it as its very constructive, but everyones feedback has been so far so i thank you all for that
Im going to establish a more captivating buildup, probably through some more reverb and high pass filtering that should really show the buildup well.. and some of the filtering on my lead sound, as i think i filter it out a lil too much during the main stages of the track
Thanks again for your good words mate, and ill get the finished piece up, soon as!
