My Sounds... Everytime I make something from scratch, I make some weird sounds.

For some reason, every time I try to make a lead or something from scratch, I end up creating some cool weird sounds unintentionally. lol I should just make some minimal or some weird experimental shit a la Holden! lol

I'm just learning, so I'm sure you guys are like WTF? But this is new to me. lol

I just made this right now, there's 3 sounds, the first sound sounds cool and usuable. The 2nd & 3rd are some trippy bells.

In this one, I was trying to create that Afrojack sound, and ended up creating that cheap toy ray gun that little kids use. The kind you buy at the swapmeet. lol It also sounds like a car alarm. lol I can probably make some Dubstep out of this! lol

Sound design requires purpose and direction. If you don't know what kind of sound you want to create, you may as well just use the random fuction on your synth (if it has one).

sound design requires vision...making a great sound on accident requires the ability to see it as a good sound worth keeping. the random function if it exists on said synth would very much be of use to anyone with the vision for great sounds.

well what im saying is you dont exactly need a direction or predestined focus to make a great sound, you can fiddle and tweak parameters till you find something, without an exact purpose in mind. so good vision covers both a purpose and more instinctual creation of sounds.
