A good free spyware/adware removal program ASAP please!

Even though I have pop-up blocker turned on, I have had a major problem with internet today. Ads keep loading up over everything.

I have used: "Spybot - Search and Destroy" aswell as "Superantispyware" (Stupid name but usually works well. I have also deleted all cookies.

I hadn't done a scan for a few weeks and found out I had 10 Trojan Viruses and 8 or so other nastys. Apparently they're all cleared but i'm still having this problem.

I need to renew my subscription to Bullguard but am obviously a bit weary of doing so with all of these bugs on the PC.

Any ideas?

Spybot is outdated BADLY.

Get ComboFix or Malwarebytes. End of story.

Source: I used to work in IT and still do it on the side. Moved on to much better things like embedded and database programming...

I saw Malwarebytes in the google search, but I've heard spyware can be deployed in fake anti-spyware software. I'll try it now and let you know how i get on.

I use Microsoft's free AV tool, it's pretty awesome. I was using Kaspersky before, and this program is on par, if not better. It certainly runs better in the background than Kaspersly did. If you're running a good system, you won't even notice it.

Yeah, malewarebytes is the real deal though. ComboFix is pretty strong as well.

Yeah I use this, but there are better programs for removal(For various reasons I don't care to explain). Although it is solid for real time protection.

just back up your necessary junk and reformat... I always feel even with AV software that some of that infection gets left behind.

Kaspersky really is great, aside from how horribly it slowed down my machine (which is brand new) upon start up. Just get it off piratebay if you're averse to using MS products.

Gonna try Combofix now since Malwarebytes kept causing it to Bluescreen as soon as it began to scan.

yeah it's been said before but malwarebytes is pretty solid. I used to run ad-aware every now and then too but there doesn't seem to be any need for it any longer...

If combofix does not work, I would reformat at this point...

Sounds like you have a rootkit... When it gets that bad IMO its just time to re install windows.

Same with spybot s&d, were good programs in their day but they failed to keep up with the game.

I tried that on my previous lap top.
And now I'm in Windows 7 hell.
