Anyone here know?

Me and some of my friends wanted to start releasing some of our mixes, not for profit or anything, just to get our style/tastes out there.

Like.... permission from your mum?

Thousands of people put up mixes every day without any sort of permission in terms of the tracks. I wouldn't worry about it.

Ya...but they do it mostly in private (i.e. "pm me for sendspace link")...we wanted to get our mixes on iTunes/etc.

Anyways...I'll just go ahead and PM some of the TA's who have podcasts and ask them what they did...

Read both of those. Itunes has a podcast submission form, but you really don't need it. The first wiki page will explain how subscriptions and feeds work.

There aren't any legal matters on this. You won't get sued for playing tracks as long as you are talking dj mix. If you are talking about radio show format, then that's completely different. I suggest you do some research on radio broadcasting rights if that's the case.

Ehhhh, no. Just go look at the DJ Promotion section here if you need proof. Infernos got good advice though, just listen to him.

If you have your own website, access feedburner throuogh Google and you can use it to link up to itunes. Let me know if you need any help. Its pretty easy once you get it set up.
