Does anyone make trance like Breeder used to any more?
Or like the stuff Sasha and Nick Warren played in 1998-2000?
Subtle, dark extended tracks that you could get lost in? But still definitely trance with an edge and not progressive.
What labels/producers are putting stuff out like that now?
Or, if not like classic Breeder stuff, any kind of driving heads-down trance without extended breakdowns and big drum rolls?

It sucks because I have a gig coming up and its easy to find big hands-in-the-air anthems, but every single one of them has like a 3 minute breakdown, and its like, wtf, how do you expect people to dance to this. I just want some driving records that people can dance to without having to stop and look at the dj every 5 minutes.
This is why I stopped being a trance DJ, lol.

Check out the Trancealert.com site, we mostly write about Trance tracks that do not suffer from hands in the air syndrome. Nothing like Breeder, but you should find some tracks to use for your gig. At least I hope so, otherwise we are not really accomplishing our mission. Let me know.
Also check out Ektoplazm.com, it's mostly psy but there's a rather large variety of music and it's all close to what you're looking for. Click Free Music at the top and there are about 39 pages of releases and you can preview all of them.
