I'm looking to buy a small camera that records HD video (Youtube-compatable 720/1080p preferred) for use inside clubs. I know there are a lot of options (too many!), so I would prefer first-hand recommendations from club-goers such as you all!
The major requirement for me is that the audio can't get distorted due to the bass in the music. I can't stand watching Youtube videos of songs I love with crackling bass destroying them.
Any suggestions? Price isn't really an issue, but I'm not looking to pay thousands of dollars for anything top of the line.
Bonus points for any video links showing the audio quality of the cameras mentioned. <3

I have been using sony since my first digital camera.
you can see my youtube vids on the quality. it supports up to 720p if i remember correctly. and the sound does not get distorted in clubs even if you are close to the speakers. one I am using right now is w290.
great battery life. decent video in low light conditions.

Canon is a solid brand. I'm no camera expert, but in terms of video, the quality is pretty good, and doesn't get hammered by bass like a lot of other cameras I've seen.

All of the new Canons I have played with have the bass blowing out the sound problems. Our SD870IS's were perfect. My S90 and Michelle's SD940IS both suck. Do some serious research if this is important to you.

I have the same one Michelle & Greg have. The Canon SD870IS, but I wanna upgrade to HD. My friend has the new HD version of it and it's SICK!!!!
I shot the first video with the Canon SD870IS at WMC last year. My friend shot the second video with his new HD camera. I'll ask him what model it is.

Somebody posted a video about a week ago of Blake Jarrell and Kristina Sky in LA, and it was surprisingly good quality and the audio even had good bass, which really surprised me. I wonder what camera that was..
