I really appreciate the effort you've put into this.
The opening is really nice, very Chicane-esque. I didn't really get the "generic" feel from the downbeat stuff. In fact, I kinda hoped the opening sequence would had gone on for longer before entering the faster paced stuff.
"Twilight Premonition" bothered me quite a bit - not because it's a bad track by any means but it just sounds disturbingly like older Lolo tracks with the synths and especially the percussion/drums. I just couldn't get over the idea.
"Far From Earth" is a bit happy for my tastes, but it's in a sort of old-school way that it doesn't bother me too much. "The Fifth" falls into the same category - pretty nice overall but I cannot really see the connection between the track and your description of it on your site. And something about the key changes just bothers me...
"Forge City" is one of the clear standouts here, mainly because of the breaksy elements and darker undertones you've used here. This is where the album really gets going and, TBH, is more like what I was expecting after the intro.
"Reasonstainment" is really rather excellent and (surprisingly enough) my favourite by far - I like the slightly understated breaksy feel here, it's something I could never quite achieve myself the way I wanted. Trance/breaks crossovers have always been my soft spot.
"Never Meant To Be" is placed perfectly on the tracklisting, a welcome change of pace and a nice meditative piece before sliding into "Resonance Cascade" which has a really cool atmosphere and builds beautifully. Loving the break in the middle and the very subtle psy-influences.
"Amen Arnhem" follows nicely by being a nice peak-timer without succumbing to the overstated happiness of the tracks presented earlier on the album. The only things I don't really care for are the bass drum which just sounds odd and the flanger/phaser effect which went out of date over a decade ago.
"Beyond (Reprise)" serves as a nice closer, though I haven't heard the original so I can't really compare.
Overall I think this is a very solid album - and this really does feel like a proper album unlike the mediocre bunch of radio edits most trance artists think is an album. I enjoyed the second half more than the first but that's really just personal preference...
