Comfort Food

There's always one dish that you can fall back on when you're hungry and need to relax your nerves. Sometimes certain cravings simply take over, and there's nothing you can do to stop it except eat what you want. Some of you may try to keep your fridge or pantry stocked with this item in case a late night snack attack calls.

I love a nice big plate of fat ass chinese food, primarily General Tsos Chicken. It goes great with some Egg Drop Soup. I try to squeeze it in maybe once a week/every 2 weeks. In general, I try to eat vegetarian as often as I can since that shit's so fat, but when the craving calls for this meal, I simply have to answer. I also enjoy a good savory mushroom quesadilla with guacamole.

What do you all eat when you need to feed your soul?

Yum, for sure. I like making my own salsa and guac, it's the best. Tastes so fresh and you can adjust how spicy you want it.

Salsa:
combine 1 can diced tomatoes (drained) with some chopped garlic, cilantro, green onions, jalapeno, and some fresh lime juice.

One time I made some 4-alarm salsa, it was out of control!

Guac:

Gotta have those mason jars handy for safe storage.

NY Slice of Pizza
NY Bagel w/cream cheese
Shrimp fried rice (from the ghetto spots w/bullet proof glass)
Friday Chicken (from similar ghetto spot or same as chinese food spot)

Also like to add Pernil to that list as well as Cubano w/extra garlic and pickles. NY Pastrami and Cornbeef also does justice w/swiss on rye.

And one thing I could eat at any time of the day, breakfast. Egg sandwich and I'm good money..even for dinner or after partying at 5am.

Chili. Chicken soup. Letcho (Hungarian dish). Stew.

I definitely crave sushi more than any other food, but I wouldn't call it comfort food.

I love sushi too. I'll agree not calling it "comfort food" but I do feel awesome after eating it.
