Soz mate, missed this thread.

I haven't used the BLA EQ, myself but one of the guys at work (senior 1st Engineer) has been test driving one. He reckons it's nice sounding but a little subtle (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) so if you're looking for dramatic changes, this isn't it. He said he very much likes it with strung instruments but wanted a bit more precision for drums.

It's look like good value though, as he normally uses the likes of the Manly massive passive and Pultecs and he said it's in the same field in terms of quality.

Don't know shit about the PM8 apart from it's looks fucking tasty.
