i'm referring to two things that have nothing to do with indexing:
1. the larger the partition size the less efficent windows handles it.
2. if your system and data files are all on one big partition they become fragmented faster because system temp files get mixed in with the rest of your files while your working.
btw, just because windows reports an incorrect drive size doesnt mean you magically gained space, if you bought a 30gig drive then thats all you have.

HI, im a noob computer user, and im wondering how do I partition a drive so it will be seperated>?? I have a 80 gig harddrive and its all in one drive C: NEED HELP PRONTO thanks.
