what do you think about buying digital content like music, movies, games?
Hi. I'm interesting what people in different countries think about buying digital releases of music, games or movies?
Actually my opinion, that this is a real bullshit. You pay money for nothing. With physical release you have a DISC or Vynil. You can store them, look at them, collect them, sell them with profit or with loss, which you can't do with digital release. I think best use for digital releases is rental. You don't need to go to rental store, take movie, bring home, watch movie and then bring back that disc. With digital release you can watch movie online and that's perfect. I bough BD player and i like that awesome quality, so i started to collect Blu-ray movies, also buy some music on CDs, but preffer vynil. I want to buy Cosmic Gate remix on Avatar theme, but it was only digital release, so i downloaded it for free. If they are such stupid and didn't want to make that great track released on vynil, they won't get my money. So actual idea is on physical release you have all rights (exactly on you CD copy), you can sell it, you can change it, or present it to someone. With digital release you can't do any of it, just delete file.
So yours pro and contra opinions.
