So like I said depending on if your an NCM or Officer and your rank, you probably make at least $50,000 a year but most likely more. And depending on if you live at CFB Kingston your cost of living is probably very low as well, but even if you weren't cost of living in Kingston isn't that bad. Its only $30 which is cheaper than most nights at Stereo. Most of us on here who post about Stereo have put out probably hundreds and hundreds of dollars clubbing there just this year alone, and have never really complained for the most part. I know I sure as hell have.

He probably didn't want to play with the DJ's Circus booked him with!
Seriously, wtf was Circus thinking? Damien Lazarus playing the same night, same room as Umek? Does that make any sense? I'd sooner have Umek play besides trancce DJs and Lazarus play beside disco DJs then have the two of them playing to the same room on the same night!

naw. Damian is a professional and would not have taken the gig if this was the case. Could be visa issues, could be anything...it happens a lot. Canada Customs are bigger dicks than their American counterparts.
pure speculation on my part, but i'm willing to bet it is this.

1) How about thinking outside the box and putting genres together that attract different crowds and mix people ... Damian's fans can discover the Umek sound and vice versa ... Should have booked Damian with all his label crew and attract the same 100 people that follow that sound ? Common, let's be creative a bit
2) He's sick and that explains why he's not touring this weekend. Who would cancel 2 gigs because their sound isn't the exact same thing as the guy playing after him ....
I SAW UMEK @ SPACE IN MIAMI... AND LET ME TELL YOU HE IS GOING TO DE_STROY CIRCUS TONIGHT...
WHY AM I TYPING IN CAPS??!?!?! BECAUSE I AM THAT DAMN EXCITED!!!!!!

3) When's the last time you heard Umek live btw ?
You have a point, I can't argue with that. TBH I knew that the probability of my statement being true was less than 1%....it was kind of a joke/knock more than anything else.
