I saw this on PBS a few weeks back and thought, aside from him being an utter genius in terms of playing, technique and arrangement, some things he talked about were incredibly prophetic.

The most staggering thing to me as an engineer is in one part, he is working with the tape op/engineer, automating the balance of mics for the mix of his track, and he actually predicts the use of "packages" to let people make their own arrangements and mixes at home - essentially predicting the remix and remix packs.....in the early 70's

It's not a quick film but definitely worth it if you can find a spare and fascinating if you can find the spare hour:
