Great touch of mood, but the track lacks an element that keeps the attention of the listener. It's something I could vibe out to, but its not something I could see pushed into market yet. It may be the lack of defined breaks and element changes.
You've got a cool feeling but the back half is much cooler than the front. The electricity arc thing is a bit cheesy though imo, at least that sample. |
Thanks for the reply and advice, much appreciated. Yeah i guess i'm a bit of a sucker for electrical sounds. As far as cheese I think I did actually get the idea from a terrible largerd track I heard many many years ago, like 10 - 15 years. And yes I still got many years to go till I can produce something that will be anywhere near ready for release.
Cheers Mate

Also what were you meaning by "the back half is much cooler than the front". I am assuming you are talking about how, e.g. the break sticks out from the mix a lot more than the pads?

Cool dark atmosphere. Now and then a little trick to make sure it doesn't sound too close to a film score is to raise the volume of those background dark atmos pads towards end of a bar and then cut it out - keeps things rythmic.
Nice work - but a little too close to film background at the mo - but I can see you have a lot of skill. |
Cool dude thanks for the advice. Yes I will give that a go in the next project. And as for film soundtrack, I am actually a film maker.
Thanks for the help
