Heya,

As it stands the track isn't particularly good.

the lead is very 'plinky' and the whole thing sounds very lacking in structure.
I understand that it is just a WIP and that it's a short snippit that we get, but there is no real development in the tune or the melody.

Percussively there is a lot of work needed to give the track drive and tempo.

Melodically, the melody itself is ok but the patch you have used for the lead simply does not do it justice.

Bass is pretty basic at the moment and is very retro trance 101. To compete with todays tracks you need layers to make patches more interesting with complimentary bass lines. i.e. a sub bass, a mid and a high mid. This would generate a more evolving structure and would give you room to create acompanying harmonies in the bass.

the transitions between the sections needs more work in terms of actually having a written event taking place, pauses, effects and such like otherwise the listener would quickly get bored as the melody itself isn't strong enough to carry the song on it's own.

That said, I would look forward to hearing how this progresses as there is music in you, just need to polish the techniques you use to get it out.
