'Raves' (in America) don't happen anymore because of legislation that was passed around that time making it illegal for any music event to go on past a certain time, so the whole thing was kind of moved out of the warehouse and into the club. Underground parties still happen of course but they're not all that glamorous tbh. The cops can confiscate your entire sound system and all of your gear, so there's not much incentive to throw an illegal underground rave. But there's some stipulation in the act that allows festival type events to go on all hours, and that's where you'll find the raves nowadays. The psytrance kids seem to be keeping it real, you shouldn't have much trouble finding a 3 day outdoor party close by. No idea about the situation in Lithuania.

How do you know they're not going? Maybe you're just not invited or don't know about them?

How has no one asked this question yet.

Maybe it's just your sister's group of friends that aren't going or throwing them any more.

Look , i know a lot of resident DJ's , hipsters and some cop friends . The cops haven't crashed a rave since 1998 by our city's records . We have a small town . This isn't LA or California . A small town . The chances of a rave going by unnoticed is small .

Well I guess I'm lucky. I was at a rave last night, and I'm going to one next weekend and the weekend after that. There is a few each month around here in the summer. We don't need warehouses, because we use clearings in the forest. There's too many old logging roads, and not enough bother for cops to find out about them. And when they do show up, it's late/early in the morning, and they just make sure no one is leaving drunk. Sometimes I'm sure we must have one of the best party scenes there is. No pretentious douchebags or DJ snobs. Just a bunch of expressive mountain hippis dressed up in ridiculous outfits all high as shit.
