Something just hit me some time ago. In Europe, there's a major difference in price at the movie theaters, depending on the country. In Scandinavia, the price for a regular movie (A Dangerous Method, as an example) is about 14.86$ while in Eastern Europe, the same movie is about 4.31$. With this, I might add that the cinemas in Eastern Europe are far more elegant and comfortable than the ones in Scandinavia, from my personal experience.

So, how much does a ticket cost in your area? Would be interesting to know.

manhattan, nyc - roughly 13 bux for a regular, 3D is around 17...if i remember correctly

$10 - $12, somewhere in the American south.

17 dollars in the cinema next to my house, 8.50 if you're a student. That's about average here in Brasília.

Bloody hell, I had no idea it was so much more expensive compared to the rest of the world. It's not like we're loaded or something...

Depends 'which' cinemas. The smaller, independent ones are about $13, the bigger multiplex ones around $16-18 and premium $32
