Madison Park - Sunrise (A Dolman Remix)

Hey guys,

Here is my current WIP remix for the Sunrise contest.

This one is coming along nicely, but your feedback is appreciated so that I can do well in this contest.

Really enjoyed working with this vocal, made some beautiful noises editing and mashing bits together

I didn't want to use the stems, so I have produced my own music to go with the accapella, so its very different to the original.

Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for your support again Julz )

Anything you didn't feel is sitting right in the mix? Or anything that you didn't like?

Thanks.

The vocal in some parts is getting lost a little 1.20min a example.
Try automating the vocals volume, or use a vocal rider plugin.

The saw tends to drown out the vocal, even in the break.
The kick in saws, you have them chopped but the reverb on the is making less impact. I normally bounch it then chop it after the FX is recorded.

But all this except the vocal is just personal preference.
Great song really.

Thanks for the feedback.

I will have a play around with the saw volume level and the vocal level and see what comes of it

This song sounds really nice, really good job!

I really like how the bass and kick are sitting in the mix. Sounds dope! Your hats/percs sound a little too high though. Bass and kick loses punch when they come in. Solo them with kick and bass and get them sitting right and it will sound awesome. That's just me though.

Not sure if I like how the beat drops out when it kicks in from the break. Would rather like to hear it kick in full power from the cool breakdown you made.

Overall, a very cool track, you should do well in your contest! Keep them coming!!

Check out my track to if you want too.

Thanks for the kind words bro I appreciate you checking out my track. I will of course have a look at yours

I will have a play with the percs volume, and see how it all sounds, see if it brings the kick into play more.

When you say you're not sure about the kick dropping out, do you mean at 4:50 into the track? I do know what you mean, I just loved the reversed vocal chop and I had to get it in! My brother was here with me with the speakers pumped up and when I made that we both just loved the effect.

Thanks

Ok man, thanks. Well I will see what other opinion says, and if other people also agree with you, I might change it up!

Thanks.
