My hope this year for boat cruises is for entry/mid level promoters to get smart and TEAM together to throw one good party. Instead of two companies promoting two half empty parties, if they teamed together they could reduce risk by splitting the cost on the boat.
Toronto club goers are tired of paying $40 for a boat cruise and having 150 to 200 people on it. If promoters worked together that 150 could be 350 and the difference between being in the black or in the red. |
Very true. Unfortunately promoter/dj politics gets in the way. Everyone wants the "best boat/best lineup/whatever else" and hype it too much and utterly fail. A boat like the gambler... have one promoter on top floor and one on bottom would make it a fun boat. The boat would be packed front to back. However... who gets the top and who gets the bottom? Thus, different boats getting booked the same day if that makes sense
