Heard about the show at 8:30 last night while I was halfway napping during some primetime Olympics action (first night I was at home chilling in almost a week).

So my boy calls me up and wants to go -- fine, I had heard good things about this kid Madeon, and we decided to go. 15 bucks to get in, no big deal.

Never. Again. Will I go to one of these pop-house-electro-house-prog-house bullshit "EDM" monstrosities that are marketed at UCF kids.

This shit is NOT the house music scene. It's just not.

I've had good times at Vain on Friday nights (when there's more competition, I guess), but these special event shows they pull off every so often are just ass. Absolutely terrible crowd that doesn't know how to party, doesn't know what house music actually is, and everyone was on bath salts. Just freakin' lame. And Madeon was absolutely garbage. Those of you on this forum that like him -- uh, why, or how? He sucks ass. Yeah, he's good at "mashing up." Too bad the music he plays is just a bunch of electro farts and white noise and full of "drops" every 20 seconds. Way too many fucking breaks. I like a constant beat, you know, the way house music is supposed to be. I like to dance, not fist pump like a guido straight outta Jersey Shore. Abomination.

I'm sticking to Senso, Sky 60, etc. Much better educated crowd and real house/techno scene.

Madeon is to young to dj. That little kid needs to be educated first.

Yea...

I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or not, but this new teeny bopper crowd that is infesting these parties and shows is becoming so lame. It really does take away from the experience for someone who is there for the love of the music.

And this isn't about how"people party. We all love to have a good time, whatever that entails. It just seems like these crowds take up way too much space for all of the wrong reasons, if you can understand my drift. I think dubstep has literally killed their brain cells and really attracted some of the most idiotic people you can run into.

Anyways, I've learned the best way to avoid this is to attend shows including unheard of DJs (to the mainstream audience). These guys are spinning better sets and parties, anyways.
