Anybody any adivce/tutorials for getting started on Abelton?

Hi guys, been Dj'n for about 4 years now and looking to make the jump to production. Looking for ANY advice or tutorials anyone can give me on getting started with Abelton, I hear its easier to use at the start as its more user friendly for beginners. This site was recommended to me from a guy I know, he said it will help. Anything welcome guys thanks

There's a link below for a recent mix I threw together if anyone's interested.

FRiendly for beginners...hmm i dont agree. was a decent period of time for me to learn the interface and get proficient with it. my suggestion; be patient, keep going and dont stop, and be patient. also i might suggest producing in session view and then recording into arrangement. session imo is much more smooth and compartmentalized for producing.

Sonic Academy tutorials, you will learn a lot in a little amount of time.

HIGHLY recommend them.

I agree, Sonic Academy and Dubspot as well. Both have lots of free tutorials on there. I use Ableton Live. And as recommended above I'd stay in session view until you're ready to begin arranging.

It's never a jump, try more like "slow crawl".

My learning curve for Ableton was about 3 weeks, and I started using a VST I didn't know at all, coming straight from Reason. 2-3 years later I was making club friendly tracks. I wouldn't expect anything great to happen much sooner, unless you're putting most of your free time into it and are very skilled, talented and a little lucky.

You might find more tutorials if you spell it correctly.
It's able-to(n). Not A-belt-on.
