I dont know what to say. Its hard to describe what your feeling espescially when it hurts this bad. Alot of peeps from my area died that day. People who I went to my high school, lived down the block, and were freinds with my family. They will never be forgotten.
My condolance goes out to the my friends family's in Wantagh, Levittown, and to all who suffered on 9/11
I remember wakeing up that morning to go to work. I was watching the the weather on tv when they cut away to the South Tower burning up. My parents thought it was an accident. Since I was still grogy I thought it was a dream. Then as the camera's were focused on the flames, then second plane flew into the north tower. Thats when my heart shattered.

I think the saddest part is when you read about and hear the individual stories about what happened that morning - it puts it into a much more real and personal perspective. Like this story:
Its really amazing that some people put the importance of saving others above that of ensuring their own safety and survival. And to think that this is just one of probably hundreds of stories just like this that happened inside those buildings.

of all the photos from 9/11, to me, this one is still the most chilling and haunting.

I'll never forget coming home from a party on staten island by way of the ferry. The party got busted and as we crossed the river the sun was rising over the city. It was one of the most breathe taking things i have ever seen. The towers, the water and the bluest sky mother earth could make. I was taking it all in and smiling. The towers looked so strong, big and powerful.
i think about that now and again. I miss the towers but it wasn't the towers that were strong, large and powerful it was the people of NYC and the US that are STRONG, and POWERFUL.
