So I got the most warped vinyl I had ever seen in my life from Planetxusa but I have to give them props because when I told them via email, they immediately credited my account no questions asked so that was cool.

So I have this Sunscreem Vs Push - Please Save Me vinyl and the side I bought it for, the Push remix side, was the one unplayable. This vinyl was warped so badly, it was like a poptop. You could bend it in and it would stay that way and then pop back out. Severe warping. So I thought I had nothing to lose by trying something I've always thought about but never had the opportunity to do. Here is what I did.

I removed all the racks from the oven and turned it on at 500º F. I let it heat up and then after a while, opened the oven to let some of the heat get out. Using oven mits, I held the vinyl in the middle of the oven bending it and applying pressure very gently in the opposite direction from which it was warped. I wasn't sure just how hot vinyl needed to be but to my surprise within 10 seconds it started to bend. I was actually shocked at how quickly and how plyible the vinyl became. I quickly placed the vinyl in between 2 large sheets of cardboard and put a great amount of weight ontop of them and let it sit for a while to cool. After only a few minutes, I took it out and to my surprise I had basically reversed the warp to the other side of the record, but not even half as bad. I slapped it on my 1200 and the side previously unplayable now played fine.

I can assure you all this is no joke and it really worked for me. If you have a severly warped vinyl, its worth a try. You have nothing else to lose. The most important thing to remember is just how fast the heat affects the vinyl. I went in thinking I would have to have hellish temperatures but I was wrong.
