incredible technoooooo nightttt!!! excellent set, from smooth grooovy to dirty technoo to darkkk..great vibe with people dancing everywhere. just the right amount of people inside the club.not too packed, nor too hot to dance around.

i was gonna leave around 8,then mr beyer played even harder and darker. ended up stayin until 10! he finished almost at 12 apperently.

the only thing that was missing was some visuals.like clr night last yearrrr!!

crowd is quite scary at 10 am haha.
Still beyer was one of the best nights at stereo ever!!! it actually made me decide to sell my bal en blanc ticket to go to tenaglia instead because moudaber is comin in may and dubfire will b bak at temple soon enough.

nice review up on www.montreal-nightclubs.com

"It’s 4:15 in the morning on March 16th and there’s something magical in the air at Stereo. There’s an electricity passing from person to person as friends exchange their mutual feeling of excitement and anticipation of the night ahead. Dozens of sanctuary candles hang suspended from the ceiling, giving new meaning to Stereo’s unofficial nickname, “The Temple”. That night, hundreds of fans descended upon Stereo’s sacred dance floor to pay homage to the techno Gods in what ended up being an epic 7.5 hour set led by the one and only Adam Beyer of Drumcode. And what a set it was. From his opening track at 4:30am, to his closing track at almost 12pm, Beyer held the crowd in the palm of his hand as he skillfully weaved an intricate set packed with some of the most intoxicating techno, tech-house, and deep-house tracks this city has ever heard. What’s even more impressive is that most of those tracks left even the most experienced train spotters stumped, and no doubt scouring the Internet for the next few days searching in vain for this buried treasure. But it doesn’t matter. Beyer recorded his entire set and will be releasing at least 1 hour of it on Episode 138 of his radio show, also called Drumcode. There’s truly no better memento to have of an epic night out, than a liveset, not to mention bragging rights as the rest of the world gets to listen in envy.

DJs like Beyer are really something you have to experience in person to truly appreciate their skill and genius. Beyer showed Montreal that he has rightfully earned his place among the Digweeds, Coxes, Lawlers, and Vaths of his generation. To start, standing at well over 6 feet, he is a physically massive presence behind the decks. And the newly lowered DJ booth at Stereo only seemed to amplify his height. Next, his interaction with the crowd far surpassed expectations and seemed to only multiply as the night went on, starting with a mere smirk before dropping a massive track, to turning the volume all the way down and belting out “Montreal” with both hands in the air in triumph. He even took the time to shake the hands of fans throughout the set, and even signed a hat or two along the way.

Any experienced raver knows that a DJ is only as good as the crowd in front of him, and the crowd that night was second to none: friendly, respectful, and extremely educated. Looking around the room, it became clear early on that Beyer has a massive fan base in Montreal. Hard core fans that obviously follow his radio show and label closely. There were even whole groups of friends enthusiastically sporting Drumcode t-shirts. In short, it seemed as though Beyer realized in the last few hours of the night that no one was going to leave until he finished playing, and it became clear to everyone left on the dance floor that he was milking that for all it was worth. In the last hour or two, he began playing a game of cat and mouse with the crowd. Every track he played was a closing track…until he inevitably mixed into yet another, and another, and another track! Needless to say, everyone who stayed until the end left with mutual feeling that they had taken part in something special that night. A feeling that only happens once in a while, but is cherished for a lifetime. Thank you."
