2 Parodies

here's a parody to Electronic's Forbidden City, from their Raise The Pressure album. i made this up in about 20 seconds, so it's kinda stupid...

Forbidden Food
There's not a hope
When I ate this kind of food
Too much to drink
But not enough to lose
I'm falling apart
Now I've got to suffer
I wish you'd been around when I had this dish

And I can't even wash my hands
I'm drown in this crap
Help me, my friend

another one is modified by a C++ programmer friend of mine, from Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive, which has been covered for several times. you won't get it unless you're a geek.

I Will Compile!
At first I was afraid I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live without a compiler by my side
But then I spent so many hours in my cubicle
and I typed fast and learned how to program Java
So your back, from Microsoft this time
I just clicked back to find you here with that stupid class
I should have CHMODED my home directory
I would have made you into a file on my zip disk
If I'd've though for just one second you'd be back for the debug

Oh and now Go! Delete out the drive. Just remove yourself now
'Cause you're not linking anymore!
Wern't you the one who tried to break me with errors!
Thought I knew you well enough thought I laid down and slept
No not I, I will compile!
Yeah as long as I know how to code, I know I am still alive
I got all my life to live, and I got all my time to code!
I will compile, I will compile, yeah yeah!

It took all the strength I had not to fall to BASIC
Now I am trying hard to mend the pieces of my buggy code
And I spend oh so many night just feeling sorry for myself
I used to sport, but now I hold my head up high
And you see me with somebody new
I am not that chained up little person still coding with you
And so you just feel like drop by and just expect me to be free
Now I am saving all my debugging for a language how compiles well

Oh and now Go! Delete out the drive. Just remove yourself now
'Cause you're not linking anymore!
Wern't you the one who tried to break me with errors!
Thought I knew you well enough thought I laid down and slept
Oh not I, I will compile!
Oh as long as I know how to code, I know I am still alive
I got all my life to live, and I got all my time to code!
I will compile, I will compile, yeah yeah!

"I will compile" sounds like something from Atari Teenage Riot

*Maaz sings: "Delete yourself, you've got no chance to win!"*

You know?

Really great trance music is best heard when you're lying on the floor, with arms outstretched, crucified beneath monstrous speakers. Trance takes the thump of hardcore techno music and scatters it among swirls of melody and elliptical rhythms, facilitating a sense of detachment that allows the mind to wander. For instance, on Sasha's Global Underground: Ibiza the sounds rise and fall together, working cohesively, like on a perfect night in the blue room upstairs at the rave, bringing you back down to Earth only long enough to be bounced right back into the stratosphere. The music provides an appreciation of musical space--the distance between sounds and the silence before the boom--allowing the listener to seep into each song slowly, convincingly.
