Yeah. Like I was saying, all I'm trying to do is get my opinion across both ends of the spectrum.
But with the track dropping at his recent sets...it's gotten a little bit stale hasn't it? Remember PvD last year? Epic Monolith, Empire, Dreamland, Massive, Into the Night...same format, different placements, maybe a couple of new tracks here and there. Oh and how can we forget his golden years of 2000? Tell Me Why(Vandit Mix re-edit), Cream, For and Angel, that En-Motion song who's title I always forget etc you know the rest...
Anyways, I kinda disagree with the part about mixing his songs...the tracks are fairly simple to mix, but that doesn't mean it's easy to make them sound good. I'll give him the proper props he deserves: he does make simpleton transitions sound good, although anybody with 2 ears and 2 hands can pull them off with enough practice
His sets are amazing, oh yeah...I saw him live for the first time @ Coachella, and after that, I haven't heard a recorded set the same way since.
And your right. His remixes lately are shit.
But oh well. We all love DJs for what they can do for the crowd. And Tiesto does that just right

there's simply not enough supply for the demand of 'new' tracks.
it's virtually impossible to expect to hear different tracks in every set because
1. there isn't an army of leprachauns producing qual trance 24/7
2. the number of sets he plays
and i really think armin has effectively killed off hearing new tracks from dj's, with asot EVERY week playing JUST RELEASED tracks, you're pretty hard pressed to hear a dj spin an unknown, newly released track (other than their own of course).

This is a nice thread,,, you guys raised some good points. I saw Tiesto this summer and he played pretty much all the same tracks that were played in Ibiza this summer etc. I also saw him last December and I though his set was far better,,, he played some dope tracks like King Of Clubs- Revelation,,, Push- Strange World,,, Insigma- Open Our Eyes,,, etc. Although one thing I noticed was that the vibe and energy of the crowd was exactly the same. Tiesto is with out a doubt one of the most loved Dj's by the dance community,,, I don't think anything is going to change that.
peace.
