Stereo

Hi! First post here..!

I'll get down right to it. I love good house and techno, especially in parties. I used to live in Manchester, UK. Up there we had some neat clubs for this type of music, Sankeys especially.

I've been to parties all over England (Birmingham, Manchester, London, Leeds, Liverpool, Blackpool, Brighton) with friends and by myself.
I now live in Montreal and, as many friends as I have, nobody seems to want to go to any Afterhours (none!!)
Stereo-like clubs (plus the alcohol) are normal clubs in UK. I miss these! Nobody seems to want to go with me..

So my question is: is it worth it to go by myself? I have no problem meeting people inside, but will I enjoy Stereo (they always have amazing lineups, would be a shame not to take advantage of it!!) going alone?

Sincere question here

You'll for sure make friends at Stereo and Circus. Both are good places to boogie!

Just check out the threads on here and meet up with fellow MTLTAs. You'll be fine!

But don't expect to get booze at Stereo or Circus, they are after hours and don't serve alcohol because of the laws here.

Ah, that's what I thought! Most places like these are solo-friendly haha. Nonetheless, it would be more ideal to go with people

I'll check the threads out! Thanks for the advice

Yea you're gonna love Stereo then and you will find a crowd that is generally educated about the DJs playing.

I agree. I have not been or played there in a while but I remember the crowd being very generous and knowledgeable compared to the rest of the clubs in the city.

I remember a certain dj heading towards trainwrecking a mix and fixing it up a few seconds later. Never had I seen a crowd that claps and encourages someone to continue when they mess up.

lol it's easy to be knowledgeable about djs and music when you listen to only 1 sub sub sub sub sub genre... and say that anything else is commercial.
