Lightbulb A riddle

Here is a riddle for you guys it’s really logical. Nothing funny or amusing just something to make you think and use your noggin.


In a small kingdom there lived a king with his daughter. When the daughter turned 16 she was to be wed to a knight. The king sent out a letter to all the Knights around the world to present themselves to get married to the princess. Only 2 knights came in to take the princess to be their wife.

“But how to choose which knight?” the king thought.
“There should be a race!” some one suggested from the round table
So the king agreed.

The following day as the people prepared them selves for the race of the two knights, the King announced this:

“Who’s ever horse passes the finish line last will win the race and win my daughters heart in marriage”

The knights agreed and stepped up to the starting line. The horn sounded to start the race, but neither of them moved from their spot. Everyone wondered why. Finally the wise man approached the two knights whispered something into their ears and off the race had started.

What did the wise man whisper into the knights’ ears?
